    Dewey Destin Seafood Moved?

It's been a while since I've been to Dewey Destins--apparently they moved to the harbor side recently? The article wasn't too clear as to whether this was "in addition" to the old place, or they closed down the old place and opened up this new one. Anybody know?

DESTIN - Dewey Destin's seafood market and restaurant on Calhoun Avenue has the reputation of not being an easy place to find. That's also true of the new location on the harbor.

But then would it be Dewey Destin's if it was easy to find?

For those of you who have been around for a while, the restaurant's parking lot is the location of the former Blue Room.

For you newcomers, if you're headed east through Destin, turn right just past Designer Consigners. If you're headed west, you have to make a u-turn first.

But hey...Top Ramen tastes a whole lot better when you eat it off of a Granite Countertop. (Mr & Mrs Too Much Homebuyer)

I think I read somewhere that the old location was also going to stay open.

That would be sad if the original closed. It was classic beach eats. Can't wait to get back for more.

It's 'in addition to'. The new location is still a shack and the menu's mostly the same, but it's a very nice shack with waiters and the iced tea service is not longer DIY (I know the health department was okay with it, but I always thought it was icky to have patrons digging through the ice bins)

If you can get a table on the second floor balcony, the view out over the pass is killer.
