    Double Coronary on a plate!

Normally, I don't photograph food, but this hamburger defies logic so I had to. Those of you from Atlanta most assuredly know of The Vortex. They are known for their burgers. One of my coworkers is having surgery next month so we took him to lunch today. He and one other ordred the Double Coronary Burger. It is a 1/2 burger covered with 4 slices of cheese, 5 slices of bacon, and two fried eggs. The bun is two grilled cheese sandwiches. They both finished the whole thing, but they are paying for it now. Feast your eyes on this...

Vortex burgers are awesome! It's a couple of blocks from daughter's residence in Midtown (I assume you went to the one on Peach, not the scarey one at Little Five Points). It's hard to stay away. We usually split a burger.

Hey, what a way to strangely celebrate! Can't believe they each ate a whole one!

Love me some Vortex Burgers..Last year when I was in the ATL for the FSU Football Game in the space of 4 hours I ate Varsity Chili Dogs and Orange Frostys...then got Double Bacon Burgers at the Vortex and then got 50 to go hot wings from Taco Mac for the tailgate...after the game straight to Fellini's for a couple large Pepperoni and Sausage Pies..then ended the night at Moe' and Joes drowning our sorrows in Pabst on Tap..good times but it's a good thing I don't live in Atlanta cause I would explode!!

I don't fit in at LFP because I have no body piercings, no unnatural hair color, and not a single tattoo. Although I do talk to myself outloud very frequently.

The triple coronary is the triple cheeseburger at H&M in Defunk. No one's mouth is big enough to wrap around it -- they just have to gnaw around the edges. It is awesome. Never done even the double myself. The single is huge enough. Hubby and future SIL have done the double.

    Where's H&M? I love the Pub Burger at Ed's.
They make the best shakes in the area IMO too.

That big fat sloppy thang looks good to me- grew up on fattening things- they make life better. People that eat fat seem happier. It's eggs, bacon, and Krispy Kreme for me with strong Italian black coffee and a ciggy aftawards. Misspelled words on purpose to go with the greasy food. Papa don't preach, I'm keepin my pigskins.

Never tried Ed's. Sounds like a double-Lipitor day!

The grilled cheese sandwich bun looks pretty good...

Otherwise, it would be a knife and fork and share with the whole family deal, with extra-strength Imodium for dessert!

My fave at H&M is the Italian sausage "dog" served Chicago-style. YUMMY!

Here's their menu. The first page is pretty funny. Scroll down to the burgers and check out the craziness!
