Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful evening. Here is to a prosperous, healthy, Happy New Year!
“Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!
This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!
I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!”"Save the tata's!!!"

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
for those who sing and can't remember the lyrics.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne
We twa hae run aboot the braes
And pou'd the gowans fine;
we've wander'd mony a weary foot
Sin' auld lang syne
We two hae paidled i' the burn,
Frae mornin' sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin' auld lang syne
And here's a hand, my trusty friend,
And gie's a hand o' thine;
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne? For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syneLast edited by aggieb; 12-31-2008 at 05:35 PM.

Well, 2009 is here and almost an hour old and at this point in time I don't notice anything different. So I hope everyone has a prosperous and Happy New Year and everything get much better and not worse. It is way past my bedtime but the fireworks were beautiful.

My Wishes for You in 2009:
May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for $100 bills. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips! May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires. May happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy. May the problems you had
forget your home address!
In simple words...
May 2009 be the best year of your life!!!

Very awesome AL! Hope your reno is going well! (and quickly!)
I have been chewing on resolutions for a few days, and most of my thoughts seem to revolve around the "community organizer" term that became such a great catch phrase during the Obama campaign.
2009 needs to be the year where every single person takes responsibility in some way, big or small, for their community. The ways? Everything from picking up litter to volunteering at schools to collecting food for the poor to running for local offices- the list is endless.
The larger the percentage of community members giving back to their community, the more successful the community will be. So go out in your community and be a community organizer, leader, builder, giver- whatever you want to call yourself. Encourage others to give of their time, ideas, energies, and resources. The start of the new year is an excellent time to make plans to better yourself AND the world around you.

It's going and I am happy with my contractor.Will be faster now that the holidays are over. In the office working this morning. I've had withdrawls from my lack of sowal. I agree with your post. I am a firm believer in the ripple effect. Starting at home and working your way out is a great way to help spread good in your community and the effects have the posibility of being much more far reaching. I've joined two non- profit advisory boards this new year to try and help shape their publicity and help aid in their growth.
You know I
both of you.
Sounds good.
Thanks, Andy.
I always get this wish from a retired semi-celeb friend of mine. Came to NW Fla and stays on the rivers every weekend. It always make me smile and I wanted to share it with all of you.
I know I am out of the loop right now, but will I need antibiotics if I do this?
