    Book Update

My book is finally done and ready for sale! I have a link to the website in my siggy line - www.AlisonCooks.com. Please PM me or email me - Sales@AlisonCooks.com if you are interested in getting a signed copy because you'll need to order directly from me, or buy a copy online and bring to me to sign.

This has been a dream for a while, but with all the business of selling my house, moving here and starting a new job...the book kind of took back seat. It is finally finished, and I am already thinking of my next book!

    About The Book
The book is a simple guide to starting up your own kitchen. What products to buy and where to buy them. What to have in the pantry and refrigerator. So many people do not know where to start when creating a culinary environment. This book will help ease them into the process, and will help them embrace the joy of cooking and entertaining. There are many tips in the book to help a new kitchen owner to feel at ease in the kitchen. The recipes included in the book are versatile and fun.

    I would love a copy!!!

I do have one little itty bitty comment allifunn....

Environment is spelled wrong in this paragrah. Forgive me, but I can't help it, I am an editor by nature.

I know you would want to know!!! Good luck, I hope it makes the New York bestseller list!!!!!

Oh well...the introduction part of the book points out that I am not always gramatically correct, and that I wrote the book as if I were having a conversation with the reader...sooooo hope you'll forgive my faux paux

hey, afunn, I think that misspelling is only on the website - I didn't see it in the book (but may have missed something) - maybe it can be corrected if you can go back and edit your page.

I suggest you write a blog on sowal.com and link to your site! and ask all your many sowal friends for reviews!!!

    very exciting!!!

I am so happy for you. How many of us say "...I could write a book..." and yet it never happens. But for you it did!!! I salute your creativity and the hard work that made your book REAL.

well, I have a copy here and I'm reading it now. It definitely provides an easy to follow guide for anyone to equip a kitchen and pantry. for those who are already equipped and experienced in the kitchen, there are still some excellent ideas for organizing, etc. but best of all for you experienced cooks - there are some really really wonderful, mostly easy to prepare, recipes.

such as that easy but sinfully delicious vidalia onion & cheese hot casserole/dip. I've only had this a few times at parties and its always such a huge hit, but I've never made it, never had the recipe. guess what - its about the easiest thing you can make!!! just a tiny morsel to get your mouth watering for what is inside the book.

    bon appetit!

Great idea about a wedding gift, my niece got married last weekend and is in the Greek Isles for the honeymoon, lucky girl, and I will definitely want a couple.

I will give them to the unwedded ones too, maybe a well set up kitchen will be the necessary lure for a future hubby.

    Love the colorful cover.
