    NATURE TRAIL HIKE
    Northwest Region
    Saturday, August 2nd at 9:00AM
    This outdoor interpretive will focus on the native flora and fauna of Topsail Hill Preserve. Meet at the tram station off Hwy 30A parking lot to wear sunscreen.

    Join a park ranger for interesting interpretive programs offered Saturday mornings. We offer a wide variety of programs throughout the year on the following topics: Fishing in the Surf, Butterfly Walk, Shorebird Safari, Bombs Away, Sea Turtles, Turpentine, Wildlife Puppet Show, The Choctawhatchee Beach Mouse, Freshwater Fishing, Native Medicinal Plants, Snakes and Beyond, Learning About Burning, Beachcombing, Flint Knapping, Sharks, Coastal Dune Lakes, Ecosystems of Topsail, Birds of Prey, and Alligators.

    ENDANGERED BEACH MOUSE

    Saturday, July 19th at 9AM
    It’s a new moon within the Topsail Dunes and the Beach Mice are scurrying about. Everyone is invited to come and be apart of this Beach Mouse interpretive program and learn about their habitat and behavior. All ages are welcome to this program. Park at the Day-Use area off of Hwy 30A and take a short hike to the clubhouse.

    WILD WORLD OF SPIDERS
    Northwest Region
    Saturday, July 26th at 9 AM
    Join in the fun and discover the world of Spiders. Learn which spiders in Florida are poisonous, where they live, what they eat, and the benefits they bring to us. This indoor slide program is great for all ages. Park at the Day-Use area off Hwy 30A. Take a short walk to the clubhouse.
    Outside tours canceled during severe weather. A $2.00 Park entry fee is required.

    COASTAL DUNE LAKES

    Saturday, August 16th at 9:00AM
    Come and join an exciting interpretive on Topsail Hill Preserve State Park’s imperiled coastal dune lakes. Learn about these important rare freshwater lakes that exist right here in Walton County. Park at the Day-Use area off HWY 30A and take a short hike to the clubhouse.

    FISHING IN THE SURF

    Come and join an exciting interpretive on Topsail Hill Preserve State Park’s Beaches. Learn the basics and tricks of the trade on catching bait, fish identification, and how to fish in the surf. Bring your poles! Take the tram from the Day-Use parking area on Hwy 30A to the beach. A $2.00 entry fee is required. Call (850)267-0299 for more details.

    The majestic sea turtles are gearing up for another reproductive season. Learn the facts about common sea turtles at Topsail. Be a part of an enlightening program and see what you can do to help preserve these awe inspiring creatures of the sea. Park at the Day-Use area off HWY 30A and take a short hike to the clubhouse.
