Thanks for posting! Democrats seem to have a lot of mojo around here. I hope you'll encourage local candidates to post here so we can learn more about them. The forum is moderated and we promise to be kind.

Demo candidates will definitely be encouraged to post their info on SoWal. We already have three who are pertinent to the area. Go to www.waltondemocrats.org and click on candidates/local. You'll find info about a Democratic sheriff's candidate (the lone Demo in a field of seven Republicans), a demo candidate for US Representative in District 1 against Jeff Miller and a demo state house candidate in north Walton's District 5, now held by Rep. Don Brown.

Only three.

Doesn't Allen Boyd represent the south end of Walton County in DC and is a sitting member of the House Appropriations Committee (i.e. probably the most influential committee). Are the local dems not supporting that race as that would be a terrible seat for not only the Democrats, but especially Walton County if they are going to pursue federal dollars for projects. I would go so far as to say that your club may want to think about hosting a fundraiser for him to compete in the Republican stronghold of NW Florida like was held in 2002.
