NFL in Point Washington?
We are moving back to Point Washington on Eden Drive and are very skeered that we are going to miss key football games again. Does anyone know if and when cable is going to be run out there? We had Dish Network before and they wouldn't let us have local channels. We missed a lot of games, even with the NFL network.
Any one have any advice?

Re: NFL in Point Washington?
How long ago were you on Dish? We have Dish Network with local channels, with the exception of CBS as they don't consider an Alabama station "local." Far as I know, NFL Sunday Ticket is available, if desired.
Go Seminoles...fight team fight...SCALP'EM!!

SoWal = DirecTV.com, which offers network feeds from both coasts with waivers from the local affiliates. And NFL Sunday ticket has tons of games in HD.

Re: NFL in Point Washington?
We spent part of last season in dish network/direct tv hell0 while living in Point Washington. Our neighbor got a waiver to get CBS but they would not give one to us. The antenna and duck tape technique was employed with little or no success (there was a snow storm in Tampa).
In October we moved to Mediacom land and boy were we happy...all of the games right in our own living room.
You have to understand that my husband and I take football very seriously, it is not uncommon to move tv's around to create a sports bar effect in the living room or back deck so we don't miss a game.
So basically, what y'all are telling me is we may be spending a lot of time at Shades this season!

Re: NFL in Point Washington?
A head referee for the NFL is a native of Walton County and his family lives in SoWal. Also heard an NFL head coach is building in WaterColor.

Re: NFL in Point Washington?
Maybe I'll just watch the games at Grayton Fitness....good game, good workout...Wonder if I could put beer in my water bottle. The treadmill has a nice holder for a bowl of bleu cheese dressing but where ever will I put the hot wings?
