D&K's Lunch Starters

Doug's Seafood Gumbo
Doug's gumbo starts with a dark golden roux and a perfect balance of seasonings. Filled with shrimp, lump crab and crawfish tails. Served with slices of garlic bread.

D & K's is one of my favorite places to eat, drink and watch the people go by...very peaceful. I trust that you let the wait staff know how you felt (in a kind and gentle way) so they could fix it for you. I know we ALL have to have a day off and sometimes things are not done exactly as you would do them yourself...not always from lack of training but just lack of attention!

Go back and eat the best fried shrimp on the beach!

Ohhh dragonfly1.....I am so sorry that you had a bad lunch experience at the cafe. I just called Doug and he said to make sure you get a big apology and to come back in and we'll buy lunch for you and a friend. We never want anyone to be unhappy with the food! I didn't hear anything from the staff so I don't know if you mentioned this to your server, but always let us know if there is something not to your liking.

PM me and I will set it up for you when you would like to come back in....or just let the server know that you are "dragonfly1" from sowal and they will do the rest!!!

hot damn - the mahi sandwich is back. fried, not grilled!! awesome!!!! we are not much into "fishy fish", but this sandwich is absolutely THE best on 30A. no kidding. 10 on the yum scale.

We were so upset when you all stopped serving THE BEST FISH SANDWICH IN THE WORLD. If this is true you will have 8 customers for Friday and Saturday this weekend!!!

I'm so sorry you have had bad experiences with the service at D&K's. The second worst thing an owner likes to hear. I hope you will come in and have lunch with us again. If you PM me (the time and day you want to come in) I will have a table set up by the window for you and your friends. This is a beautiful time of the year to be looking out at Grayton Beach while munching down on a fish sandwich.

We have been doing lunch again for over a year now and are open Tuesday thru Saturday 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. for lunch and 5:00-9:00 p.m. for dinner. We also have sandwiches on our dinner menu too. Sunset is another great time to have a window seat.

Ditto ! I love the way we are treated there and I sometimes ask for something that is not on the menu and I am fixed right up. This is the first Fall in over 15 years we are not making a trip down and I will miss their fried shrimp (best on the coast) !

We ate at D&K twice this last trip, the second time was a group of 18 and they reserved a table for us and our wonderful waitress remembered our favorite dessert and made sure they'd have plenty of it when we came in with our large group. I'd recommend D&K to anyone!!
