Origins Watercolor North Golf Course
Has anyone played this course yet? If so did you play it as the regulation 6 hole, executive 9 hole or par 3 10 hole and what were your thoughts on the course? Do alot of people walk it and is it a slow playing course?

Re: Origins Watercolor North Golf Course
Stopped by to play there last fall. They were not quite ready (so they said).
Plus the layout options were too confusing for me.
Give me a straight up 18 holes and I am happy. Otherwise, no thanks.

Re: Origins Watercolor North Golf Course
Is the Origins course limited to members and guests at Watercolor? We stopped by a couple of weeks ago and the little trailer where you signed in was gone. Do they have a pro shop yet?

Re: Origins Watercolor North Golf Course
Origins is open to the publc and is in Watersound North. Entrance to Watersound North is on 98 across from the N/S road that goes by Camp Creek Golf course ( just West of Alyse Beach ). I've played the course several times, always the 10 par three arrangement and enjoyed the chance to work on my irons. Shortest hole is 75 yards and the longest 179 yards in this configuration. Course is supposed to mimmick the old scottish courses, hence the name. Good practice course.

Thanks! Watercolor North had me confused - didn't know if they'd stuck a golf course into Phase 7G or something!

Re: Origins Watercolor North Golf Course
I live over that way and have played the course several times. At first, it was confusing, but now they seem to have worked out the kinks, and it is a very enjoyable little course that you can actually pull out your driver on a couple of holes. Also, as mentioned, it is a Davis Love designed course with what I think would have to be considered a signature "pot bunker" on one of the greens. Enjoy 9 holes for I believe $25.00 with cart. Or, last I was there, I was told you can play as many times in one day as you like for $50.00.
Enjoy!
FYI, that is considered "WaterSound", the area of similar name, but down by the beach between Seagrove and Seacrest areas is considered "WaterSound Beach", and then there is "WaterColor" next to Seaside.Last edited by DCFinSCB; 03-05-2008 at 09:42 AM.
