Twas the Night Before a SoWal Christmas

[Minnie]

Twas the night before the SoWal Ornament Exhange, and all though the Nation.

Not a SoWaler was stirring, they were too busy finishing their creation.

The stockings were hung on the Beach umbrella with care,

In hopes that SmilingJoe, would not miss his red underwear.

The Funns were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of hangovers danced in their heads.

And Punzy in her ‘kerchief and Skunky in his cap,

Had just settled down for a NCAA Pickem’ nap,

When out on the beach, there arose such a clatter,

That Miss Kitty just knew it was those darn jets that was the matter.

Away to the window, Kat flew like a flash,

Only to realize it was only the Red Bar hauling in the cash.

OL tore open the computer and threw up her hands,

And said,”I hope those silly gulls are not making them out of beer cans”.

The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow,

Was really just BB in her finest, putting on the Ritz in Soho.

When, what to Johnrudy's eyes should appear,

But KathyDWells kicking Saban hard in the rear.

With a little old Vol driver, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be LadyD getting in the last lick.

More rapid than Tebo his coursers they came,

You can be sure that JDarg, knows all the board members by blasted name.

Now, Miss Kitty, Now, Alli, Now NoHall and Potato Vixen,

On IBD, On Mango, On Audie, and Beach Runner you little kittens.

To the top of the porch, to the top of the pole

Now dance away, dance away, dance away all.

As dry leaves that before a hurricane fly,

When Kurt deals with the Grim Reaper, the sheet will hit the sky.

So down to the beach the dancers they flew,

With the coolers full of booze and the Fritos too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the forum,

The arguing and bickering from the real estate consortium.

As Aggie drew in her hand, and was turning around,

BobbyJ, went skate boarding and surfing by with a bound.

Seaside2 was covered all in SPF 40, from his head to his toe,

And you just knew he was from Memphis, say it ain’t so.

A bundle of money, he flung on his back,

And Arkiehawg looked like a fan trying to pull a coach out of a sack.

His eyes—how they twinkled! His dimples how merry!

It was just Sowalgayboi, admiring NoHall’s Harry.

Santa's droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,

Least we forget Kristi, DD, Audie and Mango.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,

And the giggles over Bob’s tar, they encircled us like a wreath.

Olive had a cute face and a little round belly,

That shook, when she laughed like a bowlful of jelly.

Coach Phil was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,

And in SoWal, they would make him diet, in spite of himself.

A wink of his eye and a twist of head,

Soon gave me to know I had SJ’s tars to dread.

Lightworker and Drunkenartist spoke not a word, but went straight to their work,

And filled all the postings with good cheer, then turned with a jerk,

As Tootsie, Mermy, Dbuck, and Peapod each with a cute little nose,

And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose.

Minnie sprang to her computer, to her dog she gave a whistle,

And away we all flew to SoWal, like the down of a thistle.

But I heard her exclaim ere she shut down the site,

Merry Christmas SoWal and and to all a good night.

And Miss Kitty, I made it through the first page from memory and then had to look up the rest of the poem, so half cheat sheet.

And for those that don't get the Fritos, I don't think I will ever think of this forum with thinking about dog's feet smelling like Fritos.
