Brother Going To Help New Orleaneans, But Needs Yours!

My brother is in the process of organizing efforts, to help out with the monumental task, of tearing down and clearing away hurricane damage.

He is trying to find a place to park his 40 ft. RV and understandably, hasn't been able to.

Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions! I'm unsure of any particular locale preferred by him, but this is a start. Besides, there is so much help needed, in an over whelming amount of the Gulf Coast! I'm hoping and praying, that someone will know someone, etc., etc...

C'MON PEOPLE...SURELY SOMEONE OUT THERE HAS SUGGESTIONS,

FOR THIS WORTH WHILE ENDEAVOR! AFTER ALL, A 40FT RV DOESN'T TAKE UP TOO MUCH SPACE! UNFORTUNATELY, THIS IS REALLY DELAYING

HIS ASSISTING ALOT OF PEOPLE! PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND AND EVEN SEND THIS REQUEST THRU CYBERSPACE, TO OTHERS!

After Rita has passed (and it looks like it will head our way, into Texas), tell him to load up some propane, drive it to NOLA, and park it in a box store parking lot. RVs are pretty self contained. I wouldn't think he would have his efforts ruined because there aren't camp grounds open. Check the KOA there and see if it's being used.

He is wanting to head to the NO area, ASAP! I'm waiting to hear from him, re:specific location. I know that he intends on being down there a good while and that is why he'd prefer hook ups.

Obviously the hurricane has halted his plans, for now.

I realize that there isn't any clean water or electricity, in some areas. That's why, he's simply trying to find a place with hook ups, as close as possible! He realizes, that he'll have enough work to keep him there, a good while. So, he'd prefer to hook up at one location. I say prefer, that may not be realistic!

UPDATE:

I spoke with my brother tonight, re:his plans to go to the NOLA area and help clear hurricane debris. He is waiting on his equipment purchased, to be delivered. I have been given a fantastic contact thru this board

re:a location to park his 40ft RV. That location to park the RV, is in the heart of the French Quarter, but he might need a location farther out. At this point, he's looking at all options and hopes to have more, to consider. We are still open to any other possibilities.

Anyone having any suggestions, please let me know!

Tell him to wait and see where Rita is going. Tell him to check with Harrah's Casino in NOLA. They have a large parking lot that he might be able to use.
