local bands
I am planning a wedding in the SoWal area next spring and looking for suggestions on good local bands. Our guests tastes range from country to classic rock, and of course some good beach music thrown in the mix...thoughts?

Re: local bands
Dread Clampitt if they're available. Hands down the best local band. Fiddles, cellos, mandolins, guitar. Rockabilly - so a good combination of both. www.dreadclampitt.com

You should track down Synergy! They would be such a good wedding band! I know the lead singer was moving to Tennessee...but the band members can be spotted around. I ended up buying one of their CD's once...I'll see if I can get the info for you.
They are like classic motown, recent stuff, they play it all! They used to play at 331 on Thurs- Sat..."Let's face it: We live in state infested with rubes and rednecks, particularly among Alabama football fans."- Paul Finebaum

Re: local bands
My husband and I play in a string ensemble that plays classical and innocuously popular music that would be appropriate for a wedding. But you're probably looking for reception/PARTY music, right?
