Furniture Disposal
Does anyone know of a place near Seagrove Beach that will pick up used furniture? We just received a phone call that the new living room set we ordered is in and ready for delivery. We're looking for someone to pick up and dispose of the old set, hopefully around the same time frame. We'd like to get this all coordinated before we drive down from St. Louis. The old set is in okay shape, but worn. The owner of the store where we ordered the furniture (in Pensacola) said he thought there might be some goodwill stores or missions that might be interested. If there are none, is there someone in the area who will haul and dispose of large items?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Re: Furniture Disposal
We've gotten rid of our old furniture by asking construction workers if they're interested in it. They always have a truck, and they always pick it up ASAP. Of course, you can't get a tax write-off for this type of donation.

Goodwill Industries is located in Santa Rosa Beach, right along Highway 98. Sorry, but I do not have a phone number other than the one on the receipt which is in Tallahassee (850) 574-4422.

Thrift Store of Grace, on 98 right by 393 will pick up used furniture. Give them a call in advance and they'll schedule a pick-up (at least they did a year ago...assume they still will!). Good luck!

With my luck it'll start raining right after we put it out and it'll only be useful to ducks!
