Dear Friends and Business Owners,

Cancer has come to be one of the most vicious diseases in the world. About 1,444,920 cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2007. For this very reason The Walton Sun has decided that our community needs our support, time, and money. The Walton Sun has organized a Relay for Life Team for The South Walton division. “The Walton Sun-Shiners” would love your support and help. We are looking to local community volunteers and businesses to help with our team. Your help can make this year’s event one of hope and thanksgiving and serve as a remembrance of those who have fallen ill to this disease. Anyone and everyone’s welcome to join our team. We have a number of events planned that we would love your help with.

Best Ever Yard Sale Fund Raiser
Saturday March 10th – 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
Blue Mountain Beach on 30A across from Village of White Cliffs

• What we Need: quality items to sell-must be pre priced (no clothing please)

Relay for Life Event:
Friday, March 30th 6:00 p.m. – Saturday, March 31st Noon @ South Walton High School

• What we Need: Volunteers to help set up March 30 at 4:00 p.m. and break down site March 31st at Noon
• Volunteers to walk or run the track. Each team is asked to have someone on the track at all times during the event BECAUSE “CANCER NEVER SLEEPS”•
Items to sell during the event: baked goods, sandwiches, drinks, arts, & crafts, etc.
(We are open to suggestions)
• We will also be holding a silent auction/raffle and we would love any items, packages, gift certificates, etc. that we could use for this event
• Money: cash, checks, or online donations through the Relay for Life website listed below
