Butterfinger Icebox pie

Description: In the grand Southern tradition of icebox pies, here's another for your recipe box! this is soooo easy and yummy. I think you could sub in toffee bits or other candy if you could break the other candy up small enough; we discussed mini chocolate chips with pecans and a caramel swirl, too!

6-8
|
- graham cracker or chocolate cookie crust
- 8 oz whipped cream cheese, room tempish
- small cool whip softened
- 6 full sized butterfingers or 2 of those mini 8 packs

| Preparation: |
- Beat the butterfingers to smithereens with a meat mallot or rolling pin or hammer or whatever.
- let cream cheese get close to room temp
- make sure cool whip isn't frozen
|
| Instructions: |
- combine candy and cream cheese
- fold in cool whip, gently
- spoon into cookie crust
- chill for 2-24 hours or more
|

See, now this recipe is why my family wishes I was obsessed with things like pies, cookies, cakes and desserts rather than....beets. I will have to try this just so I can have ammunition for the turnip root frenzy I feel coming on. "Well I made you that Butterfinger pie that one time!! Remember that!? Is it so much to ask that you eat this delicious whipped turnip root and fontina bake?"

that sounds good, i wanna butterfinger now.
i think one of my favorite easy cakes to make is better than sex cake. i haven't made one in a couple of years though.
