Parade of Homes to Feature "Jazz Up" New Home in Santa Rosa Beach
The 2008 Parade of Homes kicks off this Saturday...and many in the South Walton area might be interested in seeing the new concrete and steel home built by O'Shea Builders. Named "All Jazzed Up" -- this home has been 18 months in the making and features cool new products and concepts never seen in the local area. Located at 48 West Mitchell Ave. in the Daughettes subdivision off of Highway 283 North (Bay Drive), come see some of the eco-friendly features like EnviroGLAS counter-tops and floors made from recycled sinks, toilets, and bottles collected from landfills, Eco-Block ICF wall construction, new faucets that change LED lights when the water changes temperature as seen on HGTV's Kitchen Expo Special from the 2008 Kitchen Expo in Las Vegas, AND ...the ultimate home theater complete with a 103" plasma -- the world's largest and only one of it's kind on the Gulf Coast. There also is a new floor tile in one room made of recycled broken mirrors and actually glows in the dark. Plus the kitchen is outfitted with three islands and custom cabinets complete with a small appliance wall where each blender, food processor and such pops out and is operated from it's own cubby. This house is #43 in the Parade of Homes Guide Book that came out in last Sunday's Daily News. Hope to see you there. The Parade runs from Saturday June 14th through Sunday June 22nd. Everyone that tours gets a complimentary smooth jazz cd ... to show how "jazzed up" it is.

The home theatre was quite impressive!
Most of the decor in the house isn't quite to my taste (mainly due to color choices) but this is certainly an interesting & unique house to tour!

That dining room table has the largest built in lazy susan I have ever seen!

If you think that's a huge lazy susan, you should meet my sister-in-law

We went through the house during Parade. There are some very interesting elements to it, but they didn't really fit together right, and the overall vibe was rather 80s Miami drug kingpen.

To me it was highly appropriate for someone who is in the Jazz/music business.

Most of the decor wasn't to my personal taste (mainly the bathroom colors and that lime green), but it was a cool house to tour.
Loved the recycled countertops and tile in the kitchen and the funky wood in the media room. One heck of a view too!
