Imagine an elderly choral group of singers aged 73-100. Now imagine that group belting out songs by the Rolling Stones, The Clash or The Who. Meet
The Young @ Heart Chorus, turning upside down all your notions of how older people should look and sound. "They don’t sing Sinatra. No golden oldies. They sing punk rock and hits from Coldplay, OutKast, The Ramones, and Allen Toussaint."
It was started in 1982 by seniors in a home for the aged in Northampton, Massachusetts, and included elders who'd lived through both World Wars.
Featured last year in the Good News Network, their videos are well-known on YouTube and the chorus now has a new movie coming out. See them featured yesterday on the Today show. Also, don't forget to
watch the full video of "I Want to Be Sedated" (and, "I will Fix You") here on the Good News Network. (The movie
