Yep...and it didnt cost taxpayers a dime. Wonder how much it would cost to restore that much of the beach with perfectly matching sand? Awesome pic and thanks for confirming my thoughts that these last 2 storms were actually putting sand back on the beach.

Parts of the boardwalk at Grayton are covered over with sand, and the build up of dunes on the east side of it, are maybe 1-2 ft higher than the boardwalk. If you remember after the storms in 2005, there was about a four foot drop off that side. Sea Oats were planted and the dunes began rebuilding.

Currently, the Lakes are filled around here with water with most docks under water, but the beach is so built up (yippie) that the Lakes water would need to rise another 4 feet before breaking through the sand on the beach. With time, that too, will happen. Let nature do its thing.
