I haven't been in the water for about a week, but last time I swam, yes, there were jellies. Not too many.

I haven't seen these. Anyone got pics??

The clear ones with the pink middles were what I saw last week.

There was a thread on this a while back. Vinegar, ammonia, Windex, urine, meat tenderizer, take your pick. And NO fresh water, wash it with salt water and scrape off any remaining tentacles.

I've been stung plenty of times. I usually take a handful of sand and brush off the area that is stinging to remove any leftover jellyfish and then I just leave it alone. There is a reason the bog ones are called Nettle Jellyfish. That's exactly how you react to them. Just like a stinging nettle weed. Burns for maybe 15 - 20 minutes and then it subsides.

There are others who may be more susceptible that need to consider the sprays they sell everywhere around here to go into the beach bag.....or just stay out of the water when jelly's are present.
