Water - Flys
Coming down Labor Day weekend! Just wondering how fine the water looks? Also, are there any biting flies yet? Sure hope not!

The wind was out of the north yesterday, so there were a few black flies. If I could tell the wind direction for Labor Day, I could come up with your fly forecast. Wish I was so gifted- that talent would make me millions!

The black flies were pestering me in the yard today, with the wind indeed out of the north for a truly lovely day. But they weren't down at the beach at all this morning. And the water and beach were both P-E-R-F-E-C-T.

I was at the beach yesterday afternoon and they were there. But, the beach was wonderful except for them!!!

winds have been out of the north for the last two days, and it has brought a few Dog Flies with it, and the most beautiful water with only a light break of the waves at the shoreline. Get some Cactus Juice or white vinegar to help repel the Dog Flies.

There were a couple flies yesterday - but the beach needed something to keep it from being TOO perfect.
I actually got bit more by the fish - quite entertaining!

Saturday -- the water was as clear as it gets. Looked like a pool. No waves until early afternoon.
Sunday -- water was still clear, though wave action picked up again, in the early afternoon.
Monday -- only looked at the water from afar, and wave action was up, but water still clear.
Only a few random Dog flies here and there. Winds have been out of the west. Dog Flies come with winds out of the north.
