How do i contact turtle people???
My neighbors just came back from the beach with a bucket full of turtle eggs. They were blowing down the beach so they picked them up and aren't sure what to do with them.
They were found between the Sppoky Lane beach access and the Goatfeathers Beach Access (not sure what that one is called) in front of the big red beachfront home. I know there is a turtle nest taped off in that area but neighbors said they do not believe the eggs came from there.
So. Someone pls let me know who I can tell them to contact.
Thanks!
G

My understanding is that they created a nest for the eggs near Spooky access. Neighbor was told the eggs have about a 50/50 shot at making it...

I got in contact with Caroline who met my Wife and I at the Spooky lane access. The eggs came from about 600 yards to the East. A nest site we weren't positive was a false crawl or nest. Dug for eggs about a week ago for about 45 minutes and never found them, so we just staked off the area and crossed our fingers. Storm took out the nest site. I found the stakes about 400 yards West of the nest site and the eggs were found in some of the same area.
We planted 7 eggs near the Spooky Lane access (because this is where we were given the eggs) and will again cross our fingers. If they are out of the same nest site now gone, we at least know when they were planted and when we can begin watching for a possible miracle.

Bring your tent. Just take it and your trash off the beach when you leave...

I don't understand your position.
I think you'll quickly find out that turtles are but one reason people don't want tents left out overnight on a beach among other things such as holes and empty beer cans, chairs, fireworks, etc.
