Recycle Political Signs
Please Pass This Information on to All Candidates
Attention all candidates, after the Primary on Tuesday many of you will be responsible for picking up your political signs. If you do not plan on re-using your signs in future elections, Gulf Stream Plastics, Inc. (GPS) located in Magee Industrial Park, 9646 Highway 20 West Freeport, Florida (12 miles west of Freeport 8 miles east of the Mid-Bay Bridge) will collect all signs and ensure that they are recycled properly.
The last thing that we would like to see happen is to have these political signs end up in our landfill. There is no charge for this service.
For any additional information, please call our office between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
850-835-6822.
Many thanks for your concern of the environment and being good stewards of the land.
John J. Magee
President/CEO
Gulf Stream Plastics Inc.
P.S. Yes, I am up for Re-election for the South Walton Mosquito Control Seat 1, November 4th
“M” is for “Mosquito” “M” is for “Magee”

Thank you John for taking care of this. Everyone is going to be extremely happy that we can keep all of these signs out of the local landfill.

Great Job Candidates
Great Job Candidates!
Many thanks to all the candidates who have brought their signs by to GSP Plastics Inc. to prevent them from going into the landfill. Just a note we are recycling the wires also where we are making them available to candidates in the upcoming election. They will be stored at the South Walton Republican Headquarters.
I know there are many more that need to be picked up please bring them by on Tuesday, since we will be closed on Monday.
We will recycle the signs at our own expense the process is grinding them up and shipping them to a recycler in Montgomery, Alabama. Once they sanitize the plastic, it will then be sold to plastic injection companies that make parts for automobiles in the Montgomery area. As a result, who knows in the future a car that you purchase may have been made from the signs of one of your friends who ran for an office in Walton County.
I would also like to extend my compliments to the firefighters who have diligently picked up signs throughout the county to recycle for future elections.
At GSP Plastics Inc. we not only talk to talk about recycling, we walked the walk by recycling 100% of all of our plastics. Conscientious manufacturing like this is the future of America.

It seems everyone got the message about removing and recycling political signs except Adkinson. His signs are still all over 30a and 98. I guess he doesn't care about the scenic quality of this area. Great start for him - dissing SOWAL.

I would like thank all of the ex-candidates who have recycled their signs. Except for George Wallace Smith who still has signs up and down Highway 20 and further north. I hope code enforcement enforces the rules.
I can assure the existing candidates in the upcoming election none of their signs were recycled.
Again thank you for keeping the political signs out of the landfill. We are gearing up for the November election.
