Hydrogen Peroxide is great for just about anything and is environmentally safe. Can be used as cleanser in kitchen and bathrooms, in the laundry, mouth wash, antiseptic for cuts and burns, acne, in our yards when watering, teeth whitening, etc.......please see link. Large brown jar is around $1.
Why thank you Lynnie for reminding us to be environmentally and fiscally responsible. I never think about HP, but I'll sure put it on the grocery list!

GF spilled an entire glass of red wine in the Ho when it was almost brand new. HP got it right out the next day, which totally saved her hide. Don't ask me why she had it in the vehicle - that's a different story.
Kitty and Lynnie, the two of you are regular little Heloises tonight!

Mermy...I haven't read your helpful vinegar hints, yet....but, I did soak a crystal vase with vinegar to get the milky residue out and it didn't work! Maybe I should jsut go read the hints.

Use the HP.
Hey, I thought today about a science project. Let's mix the HP, vinegar and baking soda together and see what happens.........might be an explosion!

We have to put HP and baking soda down Philippa's sink because all her hair products and hair and soap and lord only knows what else clogs it up. We play science project in the bathroom and voila! clean drains.

Does that work? We've used one bottle of Draino and three bottles of Liquid Plumber Foaming Pipe Snake, and our shower still doesn't drain properly.

BR, if it's really clogged with hair and goop then you might need to use a plumber's snake, one that's about 3-5' long with about a half inch diameter or more (maybe it's 3/8"?). I'm pretty sure you can get it at any old hardware store. If it's merely a slow drain, the vinegar and baking soda works. First put the baking powder in. A half cup is more than enough. Then the same amount of vinegar. Cover the drain and let it sit for about 15 minutes then rinse with really hot water.
