Multifocal Contact Lenses

Has anyone tried these? They are not the typical bifocal contacts. They are the new progressive ones

Multifocal Contact Lenses | Multifocal | Bausch & Lomb | Goodbye Readers

All of the reviews have been great.

My eyes were PERFECT till I turned 40. Then down hill after that! I now need one pair for driving (100 or 125), one for computer (150) and one for reading small print (250)

I thought I would try these.

Just wondering if anyone else has.

Thanks
G

Hi Gidget - I know it has been a while since you posted this, but I tried these very lenses. The contacts irritated my eyes a few years ago so I quit wearing them, but I saw a video at my last Dr.'s visit that looked appealing. He gave me a starter pack, but I couldn't see out of them! Didn't bother my eyes, but I never could adjust to them and literally could not read with them in. I guess contacts just aren't for me.

2 years ago, I tried monovision contacts and loved them at first. Dr. told me I might loose some distant vision. As time went on, I began to miss the sharp long-distant vision and after a year, I changed back to my original contacts and now wear reading glasses. Have a pair in every room, car, around my neck, on my head, etc. FYI, I have worn hard or gas permeable contacts for over 40 years and can't stand glasses. They are worth a try IMHO. Good luck!

I have a eye apt next week and I'll ask my guy about them. If these actually work I'd buy a pair in an instant.

I've been using these for a week, I believe I have the Bouch and lomb ones. All in all I've got good far and near sight correction, although I still need some tweaking in one eye. From what I understand the amount of light plays in heavily with how these lenses work. I've been experimenting with different light levels when reading / working on the computer to see if I can perfect the correction.
