Please help us out at Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of Walton County is excited to be starting construction of house #19 at the end of this week, on Friday the 13th! Volunteers will work on Friday and Saturday of this week. We are looking for community volunteers to help us provide the construction workers with LUNCHES this week and weekends throughout the build. Don't want to drive all the way to the building site? Our restore, located a few miles north of the 331 bridge can provide a drop off point for supplies. Please pm me for further details, and I will post again also with more info. Thanks for helping Habitat provide housing for people in need.

Thanks for bumping up this post. Sad to report that no one has replied! Following are directions to the job site, but the Restore is much closer to those of us who live in south Walton.

We are having a dine for Habitat day at Stinky's this Friday. Please join us for lunch or dinner.

The job site is at 254 East Daisy Lane, Mossy Head, FL 32433
Directions:
From intersection of 331 and 90 by the Tom Thumb and DFS airport go west 6.6 miles on 90 to Girl Scout Road (Note: Girl Scout Road sign is behind a sign that say Kokomoki)
Turn right on Girl Scout and go 8/10 of a mile on to East Daisy Lane
Turn right on East Daisy Lane and go 3/10 of a mile to build site.

Thanks for asking. "Up north" where I do Habitat work, we have lunches supplied by a wide variety of groups (Girl Scout troops, church organizations, catering businesses) Some groups choose to bring pizzas or sandwiches from Subway. Others, such as the Girl Scouts, like to experiment in the kitchen and make sandwiches, cut up veggies and bring boxes of cookies. Any and everything is welcome on a construction site, which tends to have a very hungry and grateful crew. This coming weekend we are bringing grills to cook out on Saturday. There will be about 30 workers there that day.
