Path of Grace Needs Help To Grow

The Path of Grace, a women's longterm sober-living facility in Freeport, has helped over 30 women and their families in the year and one-half it has been open.

The Canaan Recovery Foundation reports that this home and its recovery program has had to utilize a waiting list for admission almost since it was started up.

The Home currently provides seven women with a chance to turn their lives back toward hope, freedom from addiction and productivity for their families and the community.

The residents commit to stay for as long as it takes to get their recovery program incorporated. This is usually 6 months to one year.

Because it is a challenging program that stresses utmost willingness to change, residents sometimes leave without fulfilling their commitment.

There are usually several women waiting for each bed freed up in this manner or through program completion.

Recently the St. Joe Co. donated a building to the Foundation that will allow the Path of Grace to expand its capacity to between 20 and 25 beds.

Efforts are underway to raise the $50,000+ that moving and reconfiguring this building will cost. While the money is being sought, the necessary permits are being obtained and other groundwork is being laid.

IF YOU CAN HELP WITH A CONTRIBUTION OF ANY SIZE,
IT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Please call John Broussard for further info,
The Canaan Recovery Foundation is a 501c3
and tax credit will be given for donations.

Donations may be mailed to PO Box 818, Freeport FL 32439
or can be made through PayPal on our website:
