Walton County Democratic Women
Our monthly meeting is coming up on the 28th of this month at the Walton County Coastal Library at 2pm. Lenore Wilson of the Walton/Okaloosa Counties Homeless project, Opportunity Inc. will be our speaker.
Did you know that in 2008 there were almost 1800 homeless people in our counties? Perhaps there are even more now! The demographics of these folks are interesting....about 25% are veterans, almost 70% actually hold down a full or part time job and worst of all, 40% are under the age of 18.
Please come hear about this terrible problem and what Opportunity, Inc. is doing to help.
