Looks like it's a bit hard to get to the gulf at Eastern Lake these days.

That's neat looking, How do I get there? Does Eastern Lake empty into the Gulf like Western Lake?

It opens and closes like Western Lake. Take Scenic 30-A East through Seagrove, at the curve continue straight onto Eastern Lake Road, follow to the end and take a right. The access is right there on your left. There is parking for a couple of cars.

I wonder if anyone has a new picture of this Eatern Lake Beach access since Dennis hit. We own a house just West of this access on Eastern Lake Road and Brown Street and we are afraid that the access is completely gone at this point. We heard that the other County access just West of Coral Reef Condos at Summer's Edge subdivision down from Chelsea Loop was gone.

We were down last week, had beautiful weather, and used this access and except for a 3-4 ft drop off into the tidal mouth of the lake where the Gulf meets the lake at high tide we were able to use it. We had to cross the 2 ft deep "creek" that is at the end of the wood decking down the 3-4 ft embankment but once we got down there and across the "creek" we had a great time fishing in the lake and then one the Gulf thru Friday 7/8/05 pre Hurricane Dennis. We drove back to Atlanta as we left our house at 7:30am ct with a sick feeling in our stomach's on Saturday morning 7/9/05.

We did hear from our fulltime neighbors that the Eastern Lake area fared "pretty well" except for the erosion and access and that the Summer's Edge houses did well too.

Anyone have any pix of this access since Dennis the Menace came thru? I want to make sure I know what access my upcoming renters may have when/if they arrive in the next several weeks.

    Thanks in advance.
