On Friday September 25th Alaqua Animal Refuge will hold its first annual fundraiser appropriately named Animore or love of animals.
The event will be held at Bentley's on the Bay (previously 3 Thirty 1 Restaurant) starting at 6:00pm. The Mark Harris Band and Chad Hall will provide the music while guests enjoy the beautiful sunset over the bay.
Laurie Hood, Founder and CEO of Alaqua Animal Refuge will share stories about the amazing journey to date and how they continue to resuce and provide care for so many animals in our community. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and 2 cocktails are provided in the ticket price and, of course there will be many silent auction items available to take home.
All proceeds raised through the benefit will help place abandoned pets in new homes. Funds will also support the current spay and neuter program to prevent unwanted births, provide animals with proper medical care and bring us to a time when there will be no more homeless pets.
Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at the door. The dress is casual chic so come enjoy the sunset and help animals that cannot help themselves.
