Walton County Earth Day Festival Saturday April 18th

Come join us for the Walton County Earth Day Festival at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park on April 18th, 2009 from 10:00am to 6:00pm. There will by educational booths/hands-on activities, children's activities, cooking demonstrations, guided hikes and Live Entertainment!! This event is hosted by the UF/IFAS Walton County Extension Office and Friends at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and if FREE to the public. Here is a schedule for the day...

Shedule of events:

Festival Events Times
Educational Booths and Hands-On Activities 10:00-6:00
Location: Loop
Dune Ecosystems Hike: Leda Suydan 11:30-?
Location: Sign up at Information Desk
Coastal Dune Lake Hike: 2.5 miles 2:00-?
Location: Sign up at Information Desk

Children’s Events
Nonie’s Ark Animal Encounters 10:00/11:30/1:00
Location: Nonie’s Ark Booth
Puppet Show: Leda Suydan 10:30-11:30
Location: Amphitheater
Storytelling by Doris Mueller 12:00-12:30
Location: Amphitheater
Pizza Creations for Kids 12:30-1:00
Location: Amphitheater

Cooking Demonstrations: Club House
4H Presents-Smoothies the Tropical Way 11:00-11:30
Sushi Demonstration: Yoshi-Harbor Docks 2:30-3:00
Vegetarian Delight by Jamie Dietrich 4:00-4:30

Live Music Performances: Main Stage
Cody Copeland 11:00-11:45
Jacob Newman 12:30-1:15
Tim O’Shea 2:00-2:45

Chronic Jester 4:30-5:15
