Historic Pt Washington Tour

HISTORIC POINT WASHINGTON WALKING TOUR

Sunday, October 21, 2007
2:00 p.m.

Free to the public!

Park and meet at the Point Washington United Methodist Church on County Hwy 395.

Walk the old roads of Historic Point Washington. See the ruins of the sawmill that made Point Washington a thriving lumbertown 100+ years ago, the Wesley mansion at Eden State Gardens, the general store, Bay School, the Methodist Church, the Community Cemetery, the ferry landing, and several old houses that give Point Washington its character and historical importance in Walton County.

The walk is approximately one mile long and will be guided in small groups by local residents.

The Historic Walking Tour is free and open to the public, and is organized and sponsored by the Historic Point Washington Association.

For more information, please call 231-4633 or e-mail shallownole@yahoo.com .

I think they need to let me preview it on the 14th to make sure that it's suitable for the general public.

Re: Historic Pt Washington Tour

FLASH - although the church will be on the tour, we won't be able to start at the church due to a church function. We are trying to get clearance to park and start at Bay Elementary. Will post when we know for sure.
