I bought a dozen chicken tomales and salsa last Saturday from Russ and Kimberly. I have only 2 tomales left and the salsa is 3/4 gone. Good stuff guys. The tomales smothered in salsa are great too. I am just before a pay period, but I would like a half dozen pork tomales and another salsa if you would please. I will be in Seaside on Friday, at the Seaside Neighborhood School where I work, from about 3-7pm. PM or call me and I'll give you directions.
To all other SoWallers out there, I lived in Southern California and know a good tomale when I taste one. If you like tomales, give Russ and Kimberly's a try. I doubt you'll regret it.

Tamales - inhaled
Wanted to let everyone know that my family relished the tamales and salsa that we ordered from Russ and Kim last week. They were wonderful - such flavor!! We had a large group so ordered aplenty (6 dozen!). We had teams of cooks who prepared supper each night so having the main dish all ready made it beach-easy on our designated cooking night.
There were a few leftover, which on the other nights saved one little girl who did not like seafood. She ate them up. She's a tough critic considering her paternal grandfamily live in Mexico where she lived for awhile.
So thanks for making such delicious food!!! Highly recommend.
P.S. The jerky was great too (we were stingy with that though!).

I was watching the food network last year and they had the history of the tamales in mississippi.
One of my fav. steak places is Does, which started in Greenville, Ms. I go to the one in Paducah, Ky. Great steaks and very good tamales.

I lived in Tulsa for the last 10 years. We had a Doe's. I went there once and had no idea that it was a MS soul food place. I just figured it out a few months back when Kimberly started working on her tamales for the masses. I regret we did not eat there more.

Yes we are. We are out of town this weekend visiting family (9-26 and 9-27). The Seaside Farmer's Market is going to continue through the end of the year on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 1:00. We plan on taking orders for Friday delivery on 30A or you can pick them up at the farmer's market on Saturday mornings. If you can place your order for Saturday pickup that helps us out tremendously.
Thanks!
Russ and Kimberly
