George's at Alys Beach has some great vegetarian choices for both lunch and dinner.

Hibiscus Cafe for breakfast...

Stinky's Fish Camp, Borago, Basmati's, Shorty's Surfside.... just about any of the restaurants in the area will accomodate vegetarians and vegans.

La Paz in Destin has veggie fajitas. Not on the menu - just ask for them though.

Also, someone mentioned Jasmine Thai I think - they are AWESOME!! Just about any reputable place will accommodate vegetarian/vegan needs - just ask them to whip up something to your liking. If you are vegetarian and not vegan then the choices are endless!!!

Thanks for the tips. Our daughter is vegetarian but we love sea food so we wanted a variety of choices so everyone can be happy.

Hurricane Oyster Bar has a black bean burger, too. Any pizza place would work, too & there are some great ones in the area. As mentioned most places will accommodate a vegetarian, but it's nice when you get something other than pasta with veggies. Like George's has tofu dishes on the menu. And I agree with Gidget, Jasmine Thai in Destin is great & they don't use chicken broth in their vegetarian dishes, as many others do.

I haven't been there in a while, but La Paz also used to do a really good vegetarian black bean soup. (just ask them to leave a sour cream off if you're talking a vegan) I am a current regular at Jasmine Thai (strip mall between Destin Publix and the Destin Commons mall) and love Mom's made from scratch sauces there.

Gravel Road does veggie entrees on request and has a killer grouper sandwich at lunch for the fish eaters in the group.

In emergency fast food situations, there are Panera breads at Destin Commons and the outlet mall in Miramar Beach.
