Has Walton SUN changed editors?
Just heard a rumor that Gwen Break, long-time Editor of the Walton SUN, had been released. Hate to hear that. Anyone know more? Makes me wonder if the days of the Walton SUN are numbered?

Well their parent company filed for bankruptcy so there may be a large amount of consolidation, cancellation, and canning going on.

Before too long, I bet that all the Freedom papers between Gulf Breeze and Mexico Beach get consolidated into a single one edition paper.

Anyone given any thought to the number of local vendors that are probably going to have to take a loss on dollars owed due to this move. What a way to support your local community. File bankruptcy and include the mom and pop shops that thought they were doing the right thing.

They might as well combine it with a weekly over in Bay County so we can keep all the stories straight. Will they rename it? Perhaps the Emerald Coast Weekly? or Northwest Florida International Weekly?  There is a whole lot of winking going on and someone needs to sort it out. -- and that is sad.
