Our family will be vacationing at Watersound Beach and would like to rent a golf cart to use while we are there. Is there anywhere that rents them? I know we saw some Watersound houses list the use of a golf cart as part of the rental. I tried to check through St. Joe's Watersound Beach site, but didn't see this addressed. We were wanting a 4 seat Golf Cart instead of bikes b/c we have a toddler & mom just had her 3rd knee surgery.
Also, we are going to be there for the 4th -- are there any firework demonstrations/shows going on around Watersound. This is our first time down 30A this far -- we are usually around Santa Rosa area. We want to go ahead and make plans -- are we eating in and watching or do we need to plan on going somewhere to watch!
I'm replying to my reply -- I looked a little further through the forums & found my answer regarding the golf cart (no fear -- we only want to use it inside Watersound Beach to go back and forth to the pool, boardwalk -- no outside/street/road use!!!)
But, I still haven't found any clear info on firework displays for the Watersound Beach area -- I know about the events at the beach club and Seaside. My kids (and me) love to watch fireworks over the beach -- it's just so special to hear patriotic music, the sound of the waves, the smell of the ocean/beach, and the amazing fireworks.
Seaside, next door to Watersound, has the best fireworks display in the area beginning at 9pm CDT. 30A Radio will be providing the simulcast music for the display on 107.1FM or Welcome to the NEW 30A Radio Site! You should be able to see the whole thing from Watercolor easily. You can also go to the Seaside amphitheater to watch and hear the whole thing. There will be music all day provided by 30A Radio and a live band at 7pm (Rollin' in the Hay on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads). There will be quite a crowd so plan accordingly.

Thanks for the great info. I knew Seaside always has great activities and fireworks -- I just wasn't sure if we could see it from Watersound. My nieces were in the parade last year with wagons -- we didn't make it in time from Blue Mt. for our kids to join in the fun! Lesson learned --- on 4th of July don't head to Seaside early, head to Seaside VERY early!!
I actually mis-spoke with my last post. Watercolor is the development next to Seaside. Watersound is 2-3 miles to the east of Seaside. You can still see and hear the fireworks from Watersound. I can see them from Inlet Beach 12 miles away, but I think it would be worth a trip to Seaside to get the full effect of the experience. Good luck and I hope you all have fun.
