All American Family Beach Day... at Grayton Beach
Posted 02-11-2009 at 11:13 AM by acsuttondesign

acrylic on canvas 24x18
There is something amazing about walking out on that white sand at Grayton Beach and seeing families enjoying time together. I believe the foundation of American society depends on the strength of families. You can see that strength in action at Grayton Beach on a Sunday afternoon!

This is a very nice painting & "jounal" of sorts.
I really miss ledgers,no.2 pencils & beautiful handwritting as in the jounals of my Grandfather-which started as household income ledgers for expenses & income/tax bookkeeping-& later evolved into a record of our lives-diarys as such.
The caliber of your work ,coupled with your brief & to the point writing is darn near a Chales Kurralt moment(on the road)....thank you for letting us borrow your sandals so to speak.

Mark, I checked out Charles Kurralt. Wow... what a great story. Life off the interstates as Charles writes is much better and captures the real America. If I can capture that with my paintings and thoughts I will be very satisfied! Your Grandfather's journal sounds amazing.... I love things like that, that are full of raw thoughts and memories. That is where the real stuff is.Quote:This is a very nice painting & "jounal" of sorts.
