Happy Thanksgiving!
We have a big group coming to Blue Mtn. Beach for Thanksgiving. We have reserved a house named "Aruba". Does anyone know if the community pool is heated and open for swimming during Thanksgiving?
Also, I've heard of a restaurant called Elmo's. Where is it located and is it kid friendly? We have kids ranging in ages from 7 to 17. Any suggestions of restaurants would be great!

I have heard Elmos is very kid friendly. We have friends with large young families that always go to Elmos.

The Old Florida Fish House is great, and of coarse everyone has fun at the Red Bar (kids are fine here too)
The community pool you are speaking of......if it's the Village of Blue Mountain Beach development, yes, they put a solar panel in but I haven't checked it out.
Good luck.

Aruba is in Grande Beach (in Blue Mountain Beach), I believe. The pool is not heated. Call Sunburst (property management company) and see if the pool is open (850-231-6954). I've not known when the pool has actually been closed before.
Regarding Elmos..see http://www.sowal.com/bb/showthread.php?t=6863&highlight=elmos I'd call and make sure they're still open at this time of the year.
Hope that helps.

Are you looking for a restaurant for Thanksgiving day?

We will be cooking in on Thanksgiving, but will be going out at least 3 or 4 times for dinner and/or lunch.
Thanks!
