I have just put in my notice at the job I have been at for nearly 8 years. I leave my little girl every day to go to a job that I am just not happy with. I have been with this particular financial institute for nearly eight years, but I've been in banking for 9 years. I work in commercial lending. I am not limited to this kind of work though. I am also considering doing child care as there is a lack of it in our area and I would be able to be with my little one and have friends over for her. Can you guys please keep me in mind for anything you hear come up? I have business and personal references a-plenty and a family to feed. Thank you so much.

:clap_1: :clap_1: :clap_1: Good for you! I did the same thing 2 years ago and it was the best, yet hardest thing I have ever done. Changed my family's life completely. Don't look back, only ahead:biggrin:
Good Luck!!

Thank you Beachmom. I am scared to death, but I have my families support, so I know I will get through it. ;-)

Good for you. That was a tough decision to make, but I bet farther down the road, you will realize what a no-brainer it was. If I hear anyone looking, I will send them your way. Keep us posted on this smart life-changing decision.

seagrovin, check your voice mail. I am really interested in finding out what you have going on. Thank you for thinking of me.

yes, in-home child care is extremely limited in sowal. One of two providers recently moved, so as far as I know there is only one provider (and she can only take up to 6-8 kids at a time, depending on age levels, etc.). I know this takes some state level training and certification, and being a provider takes much work and dedication (having a day off is hard to come by when parents depend on you). But, I think this service is very much needed in the area. When my little boy was a few months old, I went back to work and could not have left him at a day care, but once I found the home day-care I was completely comfortable with it. It was a very good place for him, with a few friends, more like a family setting than a big day care center. I knew he was getting individualized care, and that he was really cared for in every way.
I know a friend who just had a baby and has no idea what she's going to do about child care in a few months. the options are very few here.
good luck and keep us posted!

Child care is so hard to find here. I had to put my newborn in a daycare after no luck finding a surrogate granma. Turns out, the daycare regularly let toddlers into the baby room. My child was put on a floor where everyone walked with nothing under her and they only fed her twice in 9 hours!!! By way of divine intervention I found someone with an opening and she loves it!
I'm in advertising and often have clients who need childcare. I will definitely keep you in mind for those folks. Good luck to you and God Bless for making such a tough decision in favor of your little girl.

Thank you sunspotbaby. I would really appreciate it if you kept me in mind. I am going to post my phone number since I will be putting out fliers anyway. I won't be able to get on here much anymore, so feel free to call me or give my number out if you know of someone. Thanks to everyone. (850) 830-7080.
