:D Thanks, Kurt. Both of my brothers are very talented writers and musicians. We just re-read this story at our family Christmas party. There were many in attendance who actually remember playing at "the store" before the thought of a restaurant was even a fantasy. There is a lot of truth in my brother's narrative.

I am one of those fortunate souls that spent a great deal of my youth at "The Store". True "The Store" was the beach, but I spent a lot of time on Pinkstons Pier. Oldtimer, Doug, & to all the Pinkstons......Your pier was my slice of heaven, I spent many hours there crabbing, once I caught what Mr. Pinkston called a granddaddy crab, I lived many years with the pride of catching the biggest crab that Mr Pinkston had ever saw come out of "His" lake. (to me the lake will always be Mr Pinkstons lake)
