We were looking for a hamburger place tonight close to Seagrove and stumbled upon Snapperheads. The hamburgers were great! So were the chicken wings and the shrimp po-boy. The environment is very casual - it's really a bar that serves food. Extremely clean and suitable for the entire family (my young kids stayed busy at the video game). The prices were very reasonable: $8 hamburgers and po-boys, the beer I think was $2.50. There was some live music tonight too but it seemed to end when we got there. I'd definitely go back there again.

I agree with your Snapperhead's rave. When you have had enough of the 'field greens tossed in a wasabi reduction vinagrette' type fare so common down there, Snapperheads is the perfect alternative. :clap_1:

Yep, one of the two best hamburgers on the beach, and if you get the bacon, which is Apple-Smoked, it can edge out over the burgers at the Donut Hole.

Yeah! Now, we will be able to eat and listen, unlike Tuesday nights :clap_1:, but I hope that your remember that Thursdays, from 7p-10p, Dread plays, so I please schedule the times accordingly. I hate having to choose.
'Tis True. Although we had not made an official announcement as of yet (until now that is) - I will confirm that WaCo Ramblers will have standing gig at Snapperheads. :clap_1: We are excited to have them play and we look forward to seeing everyone there.
Also, if anyone here would like to suggest a band, or other entertainment please do so and we will do our best to get them booked.
Thanks for all of the great compliments and we truly appreciate your business.

For clarification, my post #8 has nothing refers to Tuesday nights at Pandora's, where they do not allow food to be eaten outside at the numerous tables on the deck, due to the laws and smoking. They choose to allow people to smoke, rather than allow us to eat. So, I always elsewhere, before going to see the show.
Sorry for any confusion. Snapperheads allow us to eat and listen to music at the same time. :clap_1:

I'm listening to Dredd right now won't miss them. I know I could look, but does Waco Ramblers have a sight so I can get a taste of their music. If not I 'll be at Snapperheads on Thursday when I'm there in Sept. anyway. Can't wait.

Looked up Waco Ramblers, didn't find anything, but haven't looked to hard yet. But did come across a girls bluegrass band called the Levell Sisters. They couldn't be more than 20, but what I heard on their myspace page they sounded great. It came up I guess because a band member from Waco had posted a message on thier board. I think.

i like the steve clawson band. they have played snapper heads a couple times and they are great. i do like bluegrass but i also like to hear a variety of music
p.s. the bbq pork sandwich is yummy.
As far as Dread Clampitt, the fee for their entertainment services that we were quoted at Snapperheads was higher than what we would budget for one night of entertainment. Perhaps if we could work out a weekend package or something, however Kyle was not flexible or willing to discuss other ways that could be used to get them the compensation they demanded.
Thanks for the feedback so far and please keep the ideas and suggestions coming.
It's good to know you have talked with them. They are at a point where they are in demand and don't really have to negotiate I guess. No reason to take it personal.
I didnt know The Donut Hole had burgers..........

I didnt know The Donut Hole had burgers..........:shock:Yes, the best buns in town. IMO, their burgers are tied for the number 1 spot with Snapperheads, for the best burgers. Snapperheads has them beat if you want a Bacon Cheeseburger due to the Apple Wood-Smoked Bacon which they use at SnapperHeads. ;-) Mighty tasty!
S.J. I am so going to hit the D.H. next time down... the apple wood bacon has quite the sapid flavor on filets; never had it on a nice burger!!!!!!!
Thanks for the 411 ! ! ! ! !

Hey all, this is Dan from the local band TRAILER. We played at Snapperheads a number of times last fall and earlier this year. We had a blast, but never really knew if our music fit in there. We would certainly like to play there again sometime soon if there is some interest. It helps that we live a literal "stones throw" from the place.
I'm quite partial to the BLT, with the applewood-smoked bacon. That's just how I roll.

Thanks for the 411 ! ! ! ! !:bow:Sounds like I confused you. The Applewood smk bacon is at Snapperheads.
If you do go for the Donut Hole burger, I recommend Cheddar cheese and "Home Fries." You will have to ask for them. Otherwise, you get the okay tasting french fries. The "home fries rock."
Dan, I first saw you guys at Mayhem 2006 and instantly liked your tunes, not to mention that you all seem like really cool guys. I know what you mean about your tunes and snapperheads maybe not going together, but just take all of us friends with you and it should still be fun.
