I had the special - 2 toppings on a 12" (only size available) and a pitcher of beer (Miller Lite or Stella Artois) for $16.99.

The folks there are friendly, almost shiny, and are proud of their pie.

I got roasted peppers (red and yellow) and pepperoni. Both were good, the pepperoni was paper thin. The crust was excellent.

The sauce is the reason I will not go back. A bit too much and a bit too zesty but not in a good way but in an off-the-shelf way.

Well, maybe they can fix the sauce. It's harder to get a good crust than it is to get a good sauce...

Heck, we'll be eating pizza in Italy a week from now... yummmm yummmmm yummmmmm... and gelato... and panini...

Yup, I'm feeling very lucky. Getting to the place we're renting may be tricky though when we arrive because our plane is supposed to land at 8:15 pm and the car rental place closes at 10:00 pm so not much room for a late flight or lines at customs. We may spend our first night sleeping at the airport in Pisa until the car rental place opens at 8:00 in the morning. At least we'll be in Italy.

I LOVE their pizza and crave the pesto with sliced tomotoes with meatballs or sausage. Kurt, try their pesto instead of their other sauce - the shrimp and pesto is amazing too. I agree - their crust is really wonderful. It's homemade, not frozen like, for example, the pizza at Wild Olives' uses.
