YEAH My Vacation is finally here!!!

Will officially be on vacation in a few hours. Heading out early in the morning for Seagrove! I am so excited I can not wait! If any of you locals spot a Green Dodge Grand Caravan with Alabama plates, SoWal Stickers,and Alabama magnets, give me a honk and wave!!

Kurt, thank you so much for this board. It is wonderful to be able to meet folks that you would never have been able to do otherwise. Also, the information available on this site, is invaluable. I will take several threads with me to refer to while I am down in your neck of the woods.

I hope you all have a GREAT week. Will not be able to check the board while I am down, but will post pictures when I get back.

I, too, would like to thank you so much for having this board. It's SO AWFUL sometimes being so far away from the place that I love so much. Just to be able to check in and see what's really up with the beach is fantanstic. And meeting nice people that love it too is great. Keeps me out of the dumps and gets me over the bumps!

can't be that much wrong with a school who's nickname is 'the tide!" (I am a water person). oh, yeah:

yesterday: high tide at noon, low tide at midnight (destin pass), add 30 minutes per day

great fishing tides

:( Hi Otter - Unforrtunately not until October. We will be there 10/8 - 10/22. Can't wait!! When are you all going?

Ditto on the vacation! Ours starts Sunday for two weeks - can't wait! Haven't been there since the first weekend in May. We only had one three-night rental between last August 15 and April 15. So to get some income, I only blocked the two weeks around July 4th. A week later when I checked rentals, it was totally booked from May through August 14! Next year I think I'll block a week per month so avoid getting withdrawal symptoms from being away from 30-A so long!

John and i will be down last week of July, late August and any free long weekends we can squeeze between gigs in September and October. I havent been since May and I'm already sea-sick, er, that is, homesick for the sea.

Where are you staying in Seagrove?

We'll be staying at Dune Villas Condos, west of One Seagrove Place, towards Seaside. A friend of mine owns it and we usually go down every couple of yrs.
