I want a pontoon boat!

Found one on Ebay, but I'd have to drive hubby's truck to Minnesota to pick it up. :blink:

check the local boat places around you for trade-ins, but you'll have to pay vat if you buy it out of state

be sure to check for rust/corrosion/rot underneath the carpet and seats and make sure the motor starts and runs before you leave the dealer's lot

especially check paradise marine in orange beach and whatever that one is in niceville as they usually have a lot of used boats in the back

Yes, y'all can all go to Crab Island (which is actually one of my ulterior motives). Keep in mind:

(1) my spouse is a deputy sheriff :eek:

(2) fortunately, Crab Island is out of his jurisdiction but even if you take the cop out of the county, he is still a cop ;-)

(3) which means he will need to teach me how to drive it so I can leave him at home! :biggrin: (Only problem is that our dock isn't built yet and I can just picture trying to put the boat in or, worse yet, getting it back on the trailer by myself. :shock: )

No problem there, Shallows, my dad taught me how to drive a pontoon/boat and trailer at an early age..I can launch that sucker in no time, and take it out also. Leave the driving to me. And then there will be no problem with me going, even if Mr. Shallows is a Deputy Sherrif, 'cause this girl won't be drinking and driving...I will be the proud DD!!!! Did I just say that??????

My dad used to have a pontoon boat- it was a beauty. When he bought it, it needed a paint job, so he told my brother to jazz it us a bit. My brother and his friend gave it the ultimate paint job- it looked like the Partridge Family Pontoon Boat. The panels were red, blue, and yellow. We laughed behind dad's back that my brother and his friend must have been doing a little too much "partaking" that day.:floor: :eek:


There was an up side- everyone knew when we were on the lake. Couldn't miss that boat!:clap_1:
