There is a massive white house that looks like its all concrete. Its right next to Rosemary Beach (coming from PC).

Is that a single residence house and who's house is that?

If you are referring to a house near Rosemary Beach, actually next to Alys Beach, then it is the Hilton home. Read more here:

Look under bsmart's photos in the photo gallery section for a large photo which I took last week...Sorry I did not zoom in closer, I had two cousins in the back seat excited that we were headed to the Sugar Shack for hot fudge sundaes, which they did not need!

And it is accepted fact that Paris Hilton goes there frequently with Nicole Richie in tow and they allow Kimmifunn to come watch them act like ditzes :funn:

That reminded me that I took one last week from on high. Check out the massive wall going up around it. It looks like the exterior is complete.

wonder if the odd design is to make it hurricane proof, or was it just a case of more billing hours for the architect/builder?

Could it be that this thing is almost finished???? That's good news indeed whether you like it or not!

It is not good news for us. Ol 'Charlie owns the lot next door to us, rumored to be the future maid's quarters or somesuch. See that view in our avatar? It will probably not be as nice if he builds on it. :( I was hoping for a couple of years of a concrete shortage, actually. Pure selfishness.

Ah, not to worry TFT...it'll take him decades to build it!

It's a good thing you were wise enough to buy a lot on which to build your dream house, TFT. You have a back-up plan if the view is marred.

Yeah, we really don't expect the wide-open view to last forever. The parcel to the south of us (Paradise by the Sea) is very low density, though, so we will always have some sort of nice views. Maybe Charlie will be nice to us and build a modest two-story house for his maid. Whatever it is, if it takes him decades to build it I will shoot myself. (stop laughing Cork if you are reading this)

You are right, Mermaid, our scrubby Seagrove lot is the focus of any long-term plans we have. But we enjoy Seacrest just the same, and count ourselves very lucky no matter what Charlie ends up doing.
