Best wishes for a speedy recovery for Steelers QB Ben Rothlesberger. Please wear a helmet when you ride a motorcycle.Hopefully it's not a season killer.

The local paper thought he's going to be ok but probably should've been worse. I mean he won the Super Bowl and bagged Natalie Gulbis...How much luck did he really think he had?

I only Mtn Bike and hate wearin a helmet but take my chances anyhow w/o it. Too Cool For Old School. But Seagrove is gettin dangerous people ought to slow down. But that's for my rant in trashy Americans. How Auburn gonna be this year? I know my Joe Pa ain't retiring soon!

Auburn
2005 OVERALL/SEC RECORD, SEC WEST FINISH: 9-3, 7-1, tied for first.
GOOD NEWS: The flash of the offense returns in running back Kenny Irons and quarterback Brandon Cox, who helped the Tigers lead the SEC in scoring and total offense last season. They've got talent, and experience, and figure to be able to gloss over any early season shortcomings.
BAD NEWS: Hey, while everybody is knocking themselves over to give Auburn a Top 10 national ranking, shouldn't it be pointed out the Tigers lost the heart of their team? Gone are three of the most prolific wide receivers in school history, both offensive tackles, half the secondary, most of the defensive line and two of three linebackers.
HI, MY NAME IS: Tray Blackmon, a redshirt freshman linebacker who could have probably made an impact last year had Auburn not had three established starters. He'll get his chance this season, and while he may not start opening night, he'll have a major impact this year. Count on it.
THE CRYSTAL BALL SAYS: Auburn has won or shared five of the past six SEC West titles, and there's no reason to suspect the Tigers won't be right there again. It's true Auburn has to replace a lot of players, but the new starters have played regularly because the Tigers have dominated many of their opponents the past few years. Pencil in two quick wins before a showdown in Week 3 against LSU.
Not too bad...I think it's going to be a funn season. I see an SEC title and a funn bowl game. :clap_1: How bout your little Lions?

Poor Ben - may he recover quickly and learn his lesson about wearing helmets!!! He is still in surgery, has apparently broken his jaw, lost lots of teeth and there are differing reports regarding his knee. The Rooney's have said that they are encouraged by the medical reports so far.
It was said to be a 62 year old woman that hit him by crossing in front of him with her car and causing the accident. I would NOT want to live in this town and be her.

I sure wouldn't want to be Ben when Coach Bill pays a visit! I thought the pros had contract clauses that precluded high risk recreation (outside of the bedroom anyway :funn: )! Ouchhh.
Oh, yeah, Kimmifunn, you're right, the Tigers are going to win the SEC this year, but not those guys wearing the funny orange color

I am hoping that the press is perhaps embellishing Ben's injuries a little. (The poor guy can't sneeze without the local press reporting it as breaking news!) I have heard rumour of broken jaw, broken sinus cavity, 9 inch gash in his head and severely injured knees. Reports are that he was cognizant after the accident. None of these reports have been confirmed by the Steelers. Definitely good news that the Rooney's are encouraged by his medical reports & Jerome was quoted in the PG saying he is going to be fine.
I hear that the woman who hit him had a Maine license plate. Maybe a Patriot's fan! Just joking - from all reports I have heard she is very shook up from the accident.
I thought that Ben did have a clause in his contract that precluded any risky activity but apparently Ben did not consider riding a motorcycle risky. Hopefully he recovers 100% from this & is more cautious in the future.

I can attest to the fact that everything Ben and I did in the bedroom was NOT too high risk.
It's going to be a funn season. I'm pumped regardless! :rolling:

Love all the Burghers here. He had no clauses that'd prevent him from riding. However his riding w/o a valid license will make the media circle like the vultures they are. They say the knees are alright and he needed his jaw wired cause he was lookin heavy anyhow. But he's lucky! Name another QB that can hit a car and still get up. Not even the great Favre could do that. Someone have a Primanti's for me and add an egg. Or fed ex me one better yet!!!

Primanti's are yummy! Had a steak & cheese just last week.
Big Ben is one very lucky guy! That could of ended his career & they are saying he will make the Miami game. I have some accident pics of the bike & car. If interested, PM me your e-mail address.
