We are arriving this Sunday for our 14th annual visit to your little slice of heaven. We are staying in Seagrove Beach adjacent to East Lake. Can anyone tell me what the beach and water conditions are in that area? Understand that sea grass may be prevalent. Also, I have a large canopy I would like to set up on the beach. Anyone know if canopies must be removed at night in that area? Last year we were in Gulf Trace (arrived 4 hrs after TS Arlene) and I recall seaving numerous canopies set up on the beach. Last year I took myself off of the transplant list to spend our annual visit on the beach. Fortunately I got a new heart 10 days after I got back home. Can't wait to run down the beach

Welcome aboard McK!!! What a great story! The big tents should be removed daily, as well as everything else. The turtles that are trying to nest and lay eggs can get tangled up in any debris left behind. We just borrow the beach from them!

and don't forget to mention the giant tent-eating monster that comes along in the deepest, darkest part of the night and ruins your tent with its giant claws and gnashing teeth if you don't save your tent by getting it off the beach at night!
