Beach at Destin

Wondering how the beach is looking at Destin. Work with someone who is going to be at the Sandestin Resort on vacation in about 3 weeks. I am sure she will be interested in knowing how the area looks and about how the weather is so far. Thanks.

Lady, if she's not going for at least 3 weeks, who knows how the beach will look! It's always changing.

Nothing wrong with looking ahead a bit.

We usually come in June and I start looking at the board a couple of weeks before hand to find out if the June grass has shown up early. Usually takes a few weeks for it to go away, and it looks like our timing may be good this year. Hurricanes excluded of course.

That area got totally renourished before the project was halted - so plenty of beautiful sand right now.

Thanks guys. I see no problem looking ahead either. I look ahead for our week also. Especially if it is hurricane season. Where we stay will probably never be renourished. But we spend more time out and about and deck sitting early morning and after dark then beach sitting anyway.

Thanks.Things are looking good in the 'forbidden zone' (anything West of Santa Rosa Beach scares many Sowalers :floor: ). The beach nourishment turned out better tham we ever could have expected.
