View Full Version : 10th Wedding Anniversary in SoWal

My husband and I are vacationing next weekend with our extended family at Seacrest Beach. We only realized a couple of weeks ago that our 10th anniversary would take place during the vacation. I know that if I have any questions about the area this is the place to go for the best answers. I was hoping I could get some suggestions for a fun, relaxing, casual, and not too expensive evening.

Picnic on the beach? Local bands/shows? Great restaurant? Secret hide-a-ways an out-of-towner wouldn't know about? Just any suggestions would be soooooo appreciated! Thanks!

Juju2100 Congratulations on your anniversary! Tell us a little about the group that would be enjoying this special evening (kids? adults? what they enjoy when dining, etc?) and we can hopefully make some good suggestions.

That particular evening (June 6th, 7th or 8th, haven't decided yet, although the ACTUAL anniversary date is 8th) will just be my husband and me. We're 32 and 29, pretty easygoing, great love for food (especially me, in my other life I was a chef lol), and we're both happy just lying on the beach. We love music, usually the louder the better, and most of all we're just out to make a few great memories. We weren't thinking and didn't plan to be in SoWal on our anniversary, but its a total blessing that we will be there so we want to make the most of it that we possibly can. Since its the 10th its special because we're now into TWO DIGITS!

Sounds relaxing!! My kids are around your age(s) and they LOVE Borago's as we do for a wonderful dinner!! Perhaps have a splendid day at the beach and then a lovely dinner with great wine at Borago's! Now as far as the loud MUSIC goes, there are others on this board who can make some better recs than I could....be sure to make reservation at Borago's....it's not stuffy....it's nice casual & a real treat! So glad you are going to spend a milestone anniversary in paradise!!! And hope your weather is as perfect as it is right now down here!!!
