Any beach Service available on beach by Cottages of Camp Creek (i.e., umbrella and chair setup daily)? I really hate to lug our stuff a couple of blocks every day! Thanks

Hi Suebee:

I believe you are staying at our cottage at the Cottages at Camp Creek. We provide plenty of beach chairs (in child and adult sizes) and umbrellas, along with a cooler on wheels. You would have to carry the chairs and umbrella about 200 yards, and they are light (and we have a wagon). We have never felt a need to rent chairs, and I don't think many of our guests do. But it would feel like a special treat I'm sure -- we just never think of it!. We're in an area that's up on a dune, so there are stairs from the beach access to the beach itself (like much of 30A has). I was just there last week and am missing SoWal already (though I had a great Mother's day so far). If someone else doesn't post beach chair service, I'll find some for you.

I saw the new fountain at the Villages of South Walton about a mile away -- it is great. The water "dances" to music and has colored lights in the evening (yet it's not too outrageous -- definitely not Las Vegas style - just fun) and people can play in the fountain. I have photos but haven't downloaded them yet.

Beach Chairs 4 U 231-4448

Not sure of their exact coverage area, but have used in Seagrove and always pleased with their service....
Sounds like Paula's got you well covered though!

Thanks PK305! We have plenty of lightweight chairs (that even recline) at the cottages, though Suebee has tempted me with her idea of renting fancier chairs when we're at the beach (if they're those heavy wooden ones with cushions) someday when we're feeling particularly decadent (I'd love a week at the beach with a massage, pedicure, manicure, and perhaps fancy beach chairs, too). Perhaps I should rent those chairs at least once as "research for the cottages"... Suebee, see what you started!

Beach chairs for you.....to my knowledge they are the only real ones out there doing the good chairs and umbrella's.
