Fauna? Are there animals too? I like viewing animals, myself.

I think you can cut your flora, but the fauna might be endangered.

Ok smart alecs. I got it. Thought fauna meant trees, bushes, plants collectively. Don't want to hurt animals.
Nothing helpful to say?

OK, I'm a smarty-pants. It was too easy a target to ignore.

If you own the trees and shrubs, I suppose you can do whatever you want with them. You may want to trim little bits at a time, because you might regret losing the shade and protection that they provide.

You can call the county and ask, but I bet they could only tell you to write the owner of the property a nice letter. Offer to pay for the tree's removal if it is not part of the owner's "landscaping plan." Send cookies. :idontno:

If you don't own the tree's that you are talking about, I suggest perhaps staying somewhere else where the view is not obstructed.

Don't you just hate the way those trees just grow wherever they want????

Does anyone know if there is any State Regulation etc. or any suggestions that anyone has regarding a sand pine and other brush (not sure what the proper name is) that blocks your gulf view?
Two years ago I could see the beginning of the dune and lay on the bed and look out at the gulf. Now there is a big tree that obviously has grown and I cant see much anymore. I can still see green around the sides of it, but that one tree and brush really is causing a problem. It is on the property of the development across the street.
Not to mention that other properties have crept up blocking more views, (that were not supposed to be built there at all due to environmental issues I heard)
I know I can not do anything about the properties now since I was not present to veto the construction, but the tree is devaluing my views.

Any suggestions? :idontno:

Jezzzzzz!!! If that were all we had to worry about!!! Leave the natural vegatation as it is.!!!

Mother Nature is so arrogant...she doesn't know your house is there. Just ask her spawn...Opal, Arlene, Charlie, Ivan, Dennis, Wilma, etc. :bang:

Your probably one of those people who bought one of those properties in pre-construction that was never supposed to be built. ie: San Remo etc.
which sits right in front of a dune lake and wetlands (mud pond in my opinion) and reaped the benefits of that.
Give me a break! If a tree was blocking your gulf view, I am sure you wouldn't be out there hugging it!
FYI- a home in the neighborhood planted flowers and small plants in the right of way of the county and they rmade them remove it. Now where's the logic in that. Never would have obstructed anyone's views, it only beautified the neighborhood.
